Andrew is a charismatic, confident guy who knows he is above school discipline becasue of his on-field accolades.

Liz is ridiculously smart and organized. She loves simple things; her white marble desk, her house and the perfect dirty chai latte. Thanks to her brother Joel, she has a great sense of humor, despite her desire to keep things under control and maintain the status quo. Joel is her best friend, as well as her business partner, and he always keeps her from taking herself too seriously. She's an idea harnessing machine and excels at taking Joel's hundred and one ideas and turning them in to actionable assets for their company. And lucky for all those involved, she has the patience of a saint.

Milton loves his daughter but was an alcoholic when she was growing up. She resents him for this and they haven't spoken in years after he cut her out of his life. He didn't approve of her current husband (seeing that he was an alcoholic like he was) and also saw that he was abusive. Not knowing how to help his daughter, he cut her out, hoping she would see the truth. But things have gotten worse. Now that he has kidney disease, he needs his daughter's help, but more importantly, he wants to make amends before it's too late.

Lord Kenseth is a thoughtful methodical man tormented by the loss of his only son in battle against the King he is now forced to serve.

Mrs. Meyers is one of those amazing teachers that truly brings out the best in their students. She's encouraging and proud of Janey.

A sarcastic, sharp-witted high schooler with a dry sense of humor, who masks her vulnerability with offbeat quips and a tough exterior. Beneath her quirky demeanor lies a keen observer of life grappling with the absurdity of her death.

Keith is a fierce and complicated 18 year-old kid from a broken family. And he may have just stolen his older brother's car.
