Paula Rafferty as Sylvia

Scene Description
Lily (15) steps out of the hotel ballroom into the empty corridor to get a breath of fresh air during her father's political fundraiser. ActorEnjoyed the read. You fit the bill here. Your outfit works, and you are believable as a server. Your action of arranging things off-camera was the perfect choice for this. I only wish you would cheat your eyes up and not look down as much... Finding moments to engage. However, that is a small thing as I feel you nailed it! Your thought process and your love for your daughter are apparent.

ActorAwesome work Paula! I loved all of it. Your emotion was clear - from stress to disappointment to joy/relief at the end. Loved how you continued the activity. I could see what you were thinking and feeling throughout.
One small thought - Might have the microphone closer to you and your reader. You both sounded a little distant.
Great work!

ActorYou had lots of good moments and I believed you were working and focused on your cleaning task. Only time I really fell out was when you were talking about the "In-person" and "hug". It could just be me misinterpreting that part, but I wanted it to mean more to you. Great work!

ActressPaula, Great job! My favorite part is when you’re asked “When did you get to see her last?” Such a clear & well executed beat. Like it just hit you how long it’s actually been! You take your time, we see a bit of shame & conviction, then you transition SO nicely to dismiss/justify/downplay “with airfare…we just haven’t been able…” There’s also subtext in your face, that there’s more to the story, (like perhaps that’s not the true reason for not seeing her in so long!) THEN there’s joy in your face on the FaceTime part- you see her in your mind! EXCELLENT WORK!!

ActressI could 'feel' the crowded tables as you cleared them. It even seemed as if I could hear the conversations in the other room - your sensory work was really nice! When you took that deep breath - I could feel the intensity of what you were feeling.
Really nice work! I could imagine your work on the big screen! Brava!
