Jose C. Quinones

Actor from Dallas, Texas
ABScore 97.9

Character Description
Lew is a world-weary kind of huckster who has a lot of ideas and opinions about things, some of which may actually be correct. He's been around. Maybe he used to work in tinseltown. You just never know with Lew.

Scene Description
Two characters are having lunch in a diner, discussing what it's like to work in Hollywood. This is primarily a monologue, as the second character has no lines.

Enjoyed your portrayal of this actor and the moments in between the lines, the subtext. The button was great!
The music behind was a risk for an audition tape, but it worked. Background sound could have been just a little quieter.
You clearly established the environment without the BG sound. Clear eye-lines!
Overall great work!

Jose, there’s not enough room here to list all the things I loved about this performance. Just know that I saw everything you did, every beat, transition, gesture, POV, and all the vocal sprinkles throughout. Outstanding and inspiring! I’m a huge fan!

Bro, incredible choice on the material. You really owned that moment. The way you handled the dialogue allowed the audience to get lost in the scene—that banter and wit kept the pacing tight and distinct where others would have let it bleed together. And that ending? Absolute perfection. I’m a huge fan, brother."

what did you shoot this on? I was shocked at the production value. I would have cast you in a heart beat. You elevated the script. Believable character, and was consistent in placement of your scene partner. Only suggestion I would make is if you'd made it look like you were going to pay, and then acknowledged you didn't have the wallet. However, I can see that being a choice as well that you knew from the beginning that you wouldn't be paying, so you just fit it in before taking off. Overall, so enjoyable and natural.

Wow Jose! You did such a great job on this character! Also, your lighting and sound are amazing. I'd love to see a video of how you lit this scene. All in all I was very invested in your character and really enjoyed watching, and I appreciated the effort that you put into this self tape!

Jose I really enjoyed the conversational tone of the performance along with the sarcasm woven through. The background noise added and the wine glass “business” really made it all seem more real. Well done sir!
