Charity J Zupan as Caroline
Character Description
Caroline is a down-to-earth woman. While she's hopeful to find love, she just can't make it work with a clueless idiot. Her curvy frame is the topic of conversation. She's not typically self-conscious about it, but she's not interested in having it be the topic of conversation either.
Scene Description
Caroline has been set up on a blind date with Enrique. Caroline goes on the date to make her ex jealous, but Enrique is such a clueless fool that she just can't stick around and make it work.

ActressCharity, your soft demeanor with this character at the start of the scene was an interesting choice. I could see the moment frustration starts to build. I think you could've even shown more disdain towards as it progressed.
I liked the look you gave Caroline, fit nicely in the scene. I also noticed the subtle things you did that definitely would have been a first date characteristic like covering your mouth when spoke. Good job.

ActressGreat job! Such subtle yet effective reactions.
Ardis Stembridge
ActorCharity. You did a great job. I think you were super strong at the end. And your Enrique was much better that the other person's Enrique lol! I give him some kudos too!

ActressCharity,
Good job friend! I liked your portrayal. I liked that you ate real food and didn't notice him staring right away.
Well done.

ActorBrilliant Charity! Loved this! Loved your subtle eye movements at the beginning before your line "what?" You were connected and so present. Technical stuff was great (and a great reader!) This was fun to watch!
Some thoughts - might consider getting a little squirmy as he talks, especially at the "fluffy bunny" mark. You kept your composure well, but I'd love to see your discomfort escalating before you leave. Consider getting your stuff together and starting to stand as you say, "your so sweet." Make him stop you from walking out to answer his questions.
Awesome work!

ActressSo cute! You really embodied the awkwardness of the situation. My only note is that the whispering reader was a bit distracting and then when his accent came out it almost took away from your performance. It was funny but careful the reader doesn't pull the attention from you. Great job!
Mark Miertschin
ActorGood job! I really like your reaction as you realize he is watching you eat. I also liked you smiling graciously as you excuse yourself from the date.

Actress | Writer | FilmmakerI really liked your subtleties. You weren’t overly expressive like some of the other tapes I’ve seen of this scene. It felt more real . However, I might be in the minority on my one negative critique. I am assuming your husband was your reader. Sometimes when we have other actors read for us they can sound like they are the ones auditioning. The fact that he was louder than you, and playing the character rather than just reading, was distracting. I could not just focus on you. My suggestion would be to have him pull back, read the lines in a way that lets you shine.

ActorGREEEEAT JOB FLUFFY HUN BUN! KEEP IT UP!
(Love, Enrique)
loved the look of horror on your face at the prospect of being called "fluffy Bunny"
would have liked to see you acknowledge the restaurant a little bit more for the "this place is really nice" line.
I liked it though. very fun.
