ActressTami,
I really liked what you did. Even without the other voice (because I've seen it a few times) I could follow well and just imagine the other person's reactions. Others have suggested using AI readers, which could work, however I found them without emotion. (Maybe ChatGPT could help with that - an instructor in a class I was taking did an improvisation with ChatGPT the other day as an example of how we could get practice. That had more emotion than the services that do that. Maybe I'll try that too.) Also, your glasses seemed to block your eyes a little bit. It was still stellar! Wendy

ActressGreat pacing and energy!! just a few tech notes. Wish you had a reader especially at the end. It's great to see how you react to the other character rather than just end it without that juicy moment. Harsh shadows behind you can decrease if you step an arm-length from the wall behind you. Eye line seems a little too far. I lost some of your eyes from either the glasses frames or turning your head. For self tapes a good rule of thumb is 6" from the lens in any direction. A little moment before would also help at the top so it's not such an abrupt start to the scene. still nice job!

ActorGood job! Nice work to go without a reader. Nice punch. Sound was good. Here are a couple of notes. First framing, there is to much headroom above you. Camera down and zoom in to see more of your face. It's ok for your head to be right against the top of the frame. Also step forward away from the background if you can. This will help separate the shadow from you.

ActorYeah, can totally see this character coming to life in you! Great job on the lines and bringing energy to them! Really felt it.... Only thing I would do different is using a backdrop for your background.... but still, I think a casting director would see this tape and call you back for more! Great job!

ActorGood stuff. Your voice and enunciation is crazy easy to understand, like the least effort for me of hundreds of tapes I've watched - what an asset. Some suggestions to consider (besides getting a reader) would be to reduce space above your head and remove the push pin? Great work!

ActorFelt like you embodied the character and didn't drag the scene out. Loved it.

ActressHey Tami! This was a good role for you, it felt very authentic! Just a few suggestions - lower the camera and get closer so there's only a couple inches of headspace above you. Move your eyeliner closer to the camera - just a couple inches to the side so we can see your eyes better. And try to have a reader, it makes the scene come alive! We want to really feel like you're immersed in the imaginary world. Good job!!

ActorNever submit an audition unless you have a reader doing the dialogue with you. Even if you have to do a zoom call with someone. It's very difficult for the audience to connect to the scene if you're talking to no one. Plus, you'll have a better performance because you'll be connecting with your scene partner.
