Robin Bjerke as Francine
Character Description
Francine is a sweet, compassionate woman, always ready to dispense wisdom and understanding to the younger ladies in her charge. Thanks to her personality, she makes for a good manager in the business realm. She garners respect not through brute force but through compassion. Colbie has been working under her for about two years now. Because Francine has seen how hard Colbie's worked and how devoted she is, it pains Francine to have to let Colbie go.
Scene Description
This scene was taken from a narrative about a young woman named Colbie whose life is turned upside down by her out-of-control porn addiction.
In the scene, Colbie's boss, who, earlier in the story, stumbled across a smutty website on Colbie's work computer, is put in the awkward position of firing Colbie. The two women get along fairly well, which makes the task all the harder.

ActressRobin, this was a good tape.
You made Francine so sweet it was almost tangible. She is the HR rep that everyone would want to have. The compassion you portrayed was great.
You're look was prrfect. I really liked the choice to look around before mentioning patty cake and how you looked down as if they had crumpled or slumped in a different position.
Overall good tape.

ActorAmazing Robin! Loved all of this! Loved your opening - could clearly tell your concern for her. You were a perfect balance of motherly and professional. Could see everything you were feeling through your eyes. So well done! No suggestions here - Great job!

Actress | WriterLovely read. Your character was so cute and I loved how your eyes almost seemed to be begging to not have to say what you were having to say. Very well done. The long drawn out start was also a good dynamic choice, I'd love to see even more of these through the rest of the scene. Keep challenging yourself to look for even more ways to vary both your pacing and scene dynamics to keep the scene interesting, especially when they aren't inherent in the writing itself. Don't ever feel tied down by a scene being over written with unnecessary parentheticals of (beat), etc. You choose your own pacing.

ActressLoved your take on this script. THANK you for the wonderful eyelines!!! usually my biggest pet peeve with actors but yours were so clear when Colbie was standing, sitting and even when she broke down towards the end! Thank you for letting us See what you see through your great eye lines!! Great work

ActorI thought you did a great job! I really liked the eye squints and pauses. You didn't rush through the scene and you gave room for some tension to be built before speaking. You seemed natural.

ActressGreat self tape. I really felt your compassionate when you started the scene. And I connected with your character in the beginning. I did lose the connection a bit when you started to turn more sarcastic in the end versus compassionate and caring (which was the description of the character). All in all, I could see you in a managerial role like this and I'm sure you get cast very easily with this type. Keep it up. Thanks for sharing you work.
