Julie Hart as Dolores
Character Description
Dolores is nearly a genius, but has enough common sense to counterbalance madness. Her weakness is overconfidence that she convinces herself is a form of optimism. She has a PhD. in Bioengineering where her specialty was microbiology and tech infusion. She grew up in poverty and is the only "successful" member of her family. She is single and wholeheartedly devoted to her work. Her love for helping people has turned into a messiah complex, of which she denies. However, her heart is genuine, if only she would listen to it.
Scene Description
This scene takes place toward the end of Dolores's story, after she has gone through a literal hell in a dystopian aftermath - the result of her own doing. The world has been destroyed by a superbug that she created with philanthropic intentions and she is one of few remaining survivors. She has seen death, betrayal, violence, and what happens to humans when extinction is imminent.
To top it off, she has been pregnant throughout, and just gave birth in a dilapidated warehouse. While she has hope for her baby's future, it is a futile hope, like a lit match in a dark tunnel.

ActressSTUNNING audition in every way. Girl, you have chops. However you are training...keep doing! You don't even need feedback...you know what you are doing. God bless!
Clint Hankinson
ActorBrilliant Julie! Loved everything! Thought I was watching a real scene. A nit picky thought is to speed up your intro where you’re fixing your hair. Could be 20 seconds rather than 40.
Awesome job!
Polo Barfield
ActorThe way how you portrayed this character made me feel like you were part of that world you released this deadly virus, and you were having an inner battle within yourself of did you make the right decision to release this virus or not? It felt very believable and this tape certainly felt like a mic drop. Very well done bravo!
Sharon Bryant
ActressYou drew me in from the beginning and I really enjoyed the character you created. The moments between the lines were powerfully satisfying. The memories of your childhood were believable and landed as authentic. Bravo!
Susan Willis
ActressLoved this!! Especially your setting - was that in your garage! brilliant. My only note would be to shorten the opening a bit. maybe less fiddling with your hair and getting yourself ready. I know that was all part of this character but maybe cut it from 20+ sec to 10 or less seconds of "moment before"
Great job!
Kirk Hill
ActorThe setup was a great interpretation. Good moment living in the character before the dialogue. To add another finishing touch, the physical and psychological impact of just having a child might have given more depth to the aesthetic of the stakes involved.
Penny LeLeux
ActressI loved your lighting and background choice! Though they would not be a traditional selftape setup, it gave the apocalyptic vibe of the sides. It felt like it could actually be used in a film. Good job. Great acting choices too. It would be shot looking directly into the camera in this instance. It had that creepy, desperate feel.
Mark Miertschin
ActorGood job! I really like the audio before the video. And the adjustment on the camera. I also liked the buttons in the beginning. Maybe once to fix the hair and quicker on the eyes. Good job talking to the camera as a character. This is a scene where you can do that.
Donna Gafford
ActressAbsolutely the best read for this role so far! You own the dialogue, emotional without trying to manipulate us! So good Julie!

Actor | WriterYou had me from the very first
second. I Believed you - because you believed in what you were saying. You felt it, and made me feel it too!
Tim Randle
ActorReally enjoyed some of your choices -setting, lighting,, clicker, especially clicking off at the end. Great work!

ActressLove your moment before - obviously had been crying, trying to look like a professional, wiping away tears. Nice!
