Character Description
Jessa left her troubled home at 16, winging it to the coast to pursue her dreams of acting. After years of working in less-than-stellar projects, she's finally hit her stride, owing perhaps to being half of Hollywood's new power couple. But when her star boyfriend dumps her just before her big premiere, she can think of no one better to escort her on the red carpet than John, her first love. The problem is he knows the real Jessa, and no one else in this town does. He's not afraid to call her out, but she's also one to dish it right back to him.
Scene Description
Struggling pastor John (20s/30s) has just run into his childhood sweetheart Jessa (20s/30s) who followed her dreams of becoming an actress and is now rocketing to stardom. She gives him a tour of her upscale L.A. apartment as they get reacquainted... bringing up the recollection they didn't part ways on the best of terms.

ActorGood job! Some people like the slate at the beginning. I kind of look at it as, sale the sizzle before the steak. So I prefer to see it at the end. Think of a couple of words behind the line " when I'm not working 14 hour days, I'm...." so you get cut off and not just stop. It can even be a stammer like " I'm, I'm " it gives your reader a place to jump your dialog.

ActorHi Daesha. I voted for you but have a few suggestions: The video quality is a bit sub-par and may be a reduced quality to upload. IF that is the case look at a FREE program called HandBrake to reduce file size. You may just need more light for a better image. Overall, on the acting side it sounded like you were reciting lines. Everyone will have the same dialogue, so you must bring YOU to the audition. Personalize the character in some way (even if it doesn't exactly fit this situation) & think about that before you begin. Listen to what the other actor is saying and react in the moment.
