Penny LeLeux as Sylvia
Character Description
Battling several health issues and the wear and tear of a life on her feet in the service industry, Sylvia is used to hardship and feeling unseen until a moment of kindness from a teenager catches her off guard.
Scene Description
Lily (15) steps out of the hotel ballroom into the empty corridor to get a breath of fresh air during her father's political fundraiser. Lily notices a waitress, Sylvia, working alone to clear the tables from the cocktail hour. Sylvia is clearly weary to her bones and Lily is moved to offer help, with the recent passing of Lily's brother weighing heavily on her heart.

ActressYou made me almost cry. I felt the weariness, the missing your daughter, and your eyes are so expressive! Great work.

ActorPlease do "gender swap". Since your reader was a male, I wanted you to address him as Sir and not ma'am.
This is perfectly fine to do and I've seen many others add lines if they felt the script needed it.
Make it your own. Otherwise, the props were a bit too close to the mic and made too much noise in the beginning. Big picture though, I voted for you. good job.

ActressPenny...loved the endearment that you played through this character! She seems like someone I would have a conversation with. The fatigue of the day came through well; and even the sense of her needing to work was translated too. The only minor feedback I have is that there was some sort of sound in the back that was a bit distracting; not sure if water was running or an echo. Also, I think having a solid background would help to put more focus on you as well. Awesome work Penny!

ActorNice work Penny! Loved your connection with your scene partner and your warm personality.
Just a thought - might pause briefly before saying the "Your smile..." line to think about your daughter and transition into that part of the scene. Just my 2 cents. Great job!
