Rachael Brown as Dolores
Character Description
Dolores is nearly a genius, but has enough common sense to counterbalance madness. Her weakness is overconfidence that she convinces herself is a form of optimism. She has a PhD. in Bioengineering where her specialty was microbiology and tech infusion. She grew up in poverty and is the only "successful" member of her family. She is single and wholeheartedly devoted to her work. Her love for helping people has turned into a messiah complex, of which she denies. However, her heart is genuine, if only she would listen to it.
Scene Description
This scene takes place toward the end of Dolores's story, after she has gone through a literal hell in a dystopian aftermath - the result of her own doing. The world has been destroyed by a superbug that she created with philanthropic intentions and she is one of few remaining survivors. She has seen death, betrayal, violence, and what happens to humans when extinction is imminent.
To top it off, she has been pregnant throughout, and just gave birth in a dilapidated warehouse. While she has hope for her baby's future, it is a futile hope, like a lit match in a dark tunnel.

ActorGood job! I have mixed emotions about black backgrounds. It works in this scene. Nice plugging the cord in. Some of the time the dialog was soft/low. This is an interesting scene because you can use the camera as a character. Nice scratch effect on the end.

ActorNice job Rachael! Technical stuff was great. Loved how you were remembering your experience with your childhood friend.
Some thoughts - I didn't feel the dystopian climate that you were in. This seemed more like a casual conversation with a friend. I'd love to see more emotional depth and arc for your character. You've just destroyed the world and now you're trying to survive it. How does that make you feel? At the end, are you really glad you caused it?
Just my 2 cents. Nice work!
