JD Leach as Everett Bailey
Character Description
Everett is a large man, standing at about 6'5", with long, scraggly brown hair and always has a five o'clock shadow. He spent a decade in the Army and has done a few tours in the middle east. He is highly skilled, keeps his strong physique well maintained, has a snarky sense of humor, makes jokes out of things that are serious, and has a habit of sabotaging his civilian jobs because he secretly misses the Army despite his intense PTSD.
Everett has a beautiful wife and two kids, a nice modern home, a great job, and a lot to lose.
Scene Description
Former Army Ranger Everett Bailey meets with General Stockard to discuss a covert mission. Everett has no desire or intention of accepting the new mission, as prescribed by Stockard. Neither one likes the situation, but both pairs of hands are being forced by external nefarious circumstances.
Everett doesn't remember due to his PTSD, but at one point while in Afghanistan, he encountered and killed a Giant with superhuman strength. He is part of a larger government cover up and doesn't know it.

ActressThank you for your service? You were believable. I enjoyed your audition. I feel you were a little “fidgety” in the middle, that part may be cut. But overall, I would serve with you, Sir!

ActressLoved your performance! I really like how you use your body movement to keep attention on the reader yet you’re not just staring to a void Voice like a lot of us have a tendency to do when reading our sides. I really really liked your performance however the cigar was a good prop yet it was too distracting as the performance continued on, I would like to see you put it down early in the scene, otherwise well done!

ActressExcellent work on this scene! I felt like you had military experience and were this character. I loved the pacing of this scene. I did find the cigar a bit distracting after the first two interactions with it but overall enjoyed your performance.

ActressYou took this character in a really cool direction. The choice for him to seem agitated and especially the physical acting when he got upset were good.
There was a static, AI kind of feel to the reader and it didn't match your energy, I would've like to see that mesh a little better, but overall not bad.
The cigar was a unique choice of props, I really liked it. Right away you're character comes across as a large, strong personality.
Good job.

ActressHi JD - Great job; thank you for sharing your time and talent. The only suggestion I have is, trying staying still and play to the camera. When you're on camera, the slightest shift to the left or right, can nearly take you out of frame and the audience can't focus on your face. That's where your stories lies; in your facial expressions and vocal inflections. Just that minor adjustment will make the world of difference in your performance. Casting Directors want to see your face and the story behind your eyes.
Great work and again, thank you for sharing! Keep creating!
